There's no need to introduce AI or how it's taking over software development. Opinions differ on how much it will replace humans, but it's cemented itself as a programmer's primary source of information, the way Stack Overflow did in the pre-AI era. As a seasoned programmer and homelabber, one thing I love about AI is how easy it makes getting a small personal project going, and how it keeps things fun. Sarek 2024

This is a blog post I wrote after my 2024 Sarek trip. I'm republishing it here to archive it. Its all in Swedish though, but you can read Swedish fluently right? En vandring, med toppar. Sarek är för mig en mycket spännande plats, fylld av äventyr, magnifik natur, och utmaningar. Jag har besökt Sarek tillsammans med min pappa nästan varje år sedan 2016. Vi har under den tiden lyckats utforska flera olika delar av den nästan 2000 kv/km stora nationalparken. Vi har träffat flera intressanta personer, som till exempel professor Axel Hambergs barnbarn. Lyxfällan & Kronofogden

What is Lyxfällan and what is Kronofogden? Those are questions we need to answer in English before we continue discussing the topic. Lyxfällan is a Swedish show about personal finance, and revolves around Swedish people that are in high debt and with really bad spending habits. Also I found this blog post about the whole format being ripped off: Link (not sure if it is true, but it was an interesting read). What does 2026 hold?

I had the fortune of having a "Christmas break" - which left me some time to think about what 2026 will hold. I made 3 observations that I feel are solid enough to actually write down. Here we go: I have been thinking about this throughout 2025, ever since Trump was inaugurated. It seems like ever since the US election everyone "in power" (broadly speaking... whatever that means) has been shifting their messaging to trying to culturally align with the new president. From Outlook to ProtonMail 🟪

Recently, our family made the switch from using Microsoft Outlook to ProtonMail for our email needs, and so far, it’s been a positive experience. Here’s a look at why we made the change, how the transition went, and what we think of ProtonMail compared to Outlook. For years, Microsoft allowed custom domain names with Outlook if you had an Office 365 Family subscription. Since everyone in our family uses Office, it was a natural choice to unify our email under Outlook and take advantage of the Office suite.
